Updated 2-1-2022

Please review the current policies and protocols with regard to Sam Fox School buildings and studios, made in coordination the University’s Updates to the Danforth Campus spring plan

As always, the health and safety of our community is our top priority, and a shared commitment to our policies and public health protocols is critical.

    Building Access

    • All Sam Fox School buildings will be card access only. Please do not prop doors or let visitors into our buildings.

    Building Hours

    • During the fall and spring semesters, all Sam Fox School buildings will close at midnight; students are asked to leave the buildings at 11:30p. The Sam Fox School buildings will reopen at 6:00a.
    • Shuttle transportation is available around campus and to surrounding off-campus neighborhoods from the Mallinckrodt Bus Plaza. Please check individual shuttle routes for details. All Shuttles in service feature reduced capacity, a mask requirement for drivers and passengers and deep, frequent cleanings. WashU ID’s are required upon boarding (except the Campus Circulator).  Please have your ID ready to present to the shuttle driver.

    Cleaning & Maintenance

    • Shared spaces (classrooms, lecture spaces, and studio spaces) will have regular cleaning daily. Please keep spaces as tidy as possible to aid custodians.
    • Individual users are responsible for cleaning touch points before and after use. These include: remote controls, door handles, AV controls, dry erase markers, vending machine buttons/screens, and shared tools and machinery.
    • Hand sanitizer and sanitation wipe stations will be available around the Sam Fox School buildings.

    Studio Spaces

    • Masks are required in all studio spaces.
    • Eating is not allowed in classrooms or studios. Students for whom eating during class is medically necessary should be allowed to leave the classroom briefly to do so.
    • Drinking beverages is permitted—preferably from a lidded tumbler or water bottle—with masks removed for very short periods of time.

    Kemper Art Museum

The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum will remain open to the public and allow individual visits (but not group visits).  Admission is free. All Museum guests must wear a mask, and must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter the Museum. View details here >>

All guests must also complete WashU’s visitor screening tool no more than two hours before coming to campus. Kindly be prepared to show your screening results when you arrive. View details here >>
