Faculty Professional Allowance Account Policy
Faculty Professional Allowance accounts are to be used to support faculty activities that may include expenses related to research, creative projects, exhibitions (including shipping of art work), conferences and related travel expenses. Funds may be used to pay for materials, books, journals, professional memberships, and small equipment. Fund may be use to hire students as faculty research assistant, but they must be hired and paid through Sam Fox and all time worked must be recorded in Workday. All equipment and computer purchases belong to the University. Funds used for personal studio improvements are limited to the purchase of moveable equipment (not fixed) purchases only, not updates to the physical space. Funds do not carry over into the next fiscal year.
