Audio Visual (AV) Models & Instructions
The Sam Fox School has many space types that require us to have multiple Audio Visual (AV) models. Spaces will be configured with the following models and instructions on the following page.

AV Help
Sam Fox School IT only supports AV and Printing. However, we work with WashU IT and Student Technology Services to help in all situations.

Canvas
Students, faculty and staff can log in to Canvas learning management system to access course content.

Cintiq Lab and Wacom Intuos Checkout
The Cintiq Lab is located in Steinberg 212 and offers four Wacom Cintiq 22 HD tablet monitors. We also have twelve Wacom Intuos pen tablets available for seven day checkouts in Lower Walker. You must have a Wacom driver installed on your laptop prior to using any Wacom product.

Class Software for Lab Computer
Lab computers can have software installed on them for a unique class. Please follow these instructions to make sure you are set for you class.

Computer and Software Policy
This link is the Sam Fox School (Art and Architecture) computer and software policy for what the school provides to personnel based on job title or status.

Computing & Printing Labs
Various computing and printing labs are located throughout the Sam Fox School.

Digital Fabrication
The Sam Fox School’s digital fabrication lab supports studio and coursework assignments, as well as independent research projects conducted by students and faculty.

Equipment
Depending on your needs, various areas at the school/university have digital equipment available. These include screens, cameras, tripods, lights, projects, and various other tools.

Huion LED Light Pads Checkout
We have five light pads available for three day checkouts to students enrolled in illustration courses.

Lab Software
This is the standard software list for the various labs. Please note that we update each lab over the summer and or when systems are replaces. Make sure to request non-standard software each semester.

LinkedIn Learning Tutorials
LinkedIn Learning is an online learning company that is FREE for all Sam Fox School students, faculty, and staff. It helps anyone learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals.

Poll Everywhere
Poll Everywhere is a web-based response system that can be used to gather real-time responses from your students to a variety of question types including multiple choice questions, word clouds, and clickable images.

Printer Locations
Multifunction printers are located on all building floors next to studio areas. They are either Canon or Xerox printer that can print in color and black and white on letter and tabloid size.

Printer Plotter Locations
Plotters (large scale printers) are located in the Whitaker Lab and in Steinberg 203.

Printing Cost Guide
This list includes studio area Xerox or Canon printers and Whitaker Learning Lab plotters/printers. Pricing is listed on signs above each plotters/printers.

Sam Fox School IT only supports AV and Printing. However, we work with WashU IT and Student Technology Services to help in all situations.

Printing Refund Request
Sam Fox School IT will review all printing refund request within two weeks of the incident. Please review the instructions for submitting a request and policies.

Scanning
Scanning it located in the Whitaker Learning Lab and includes various sizes and cost. Planning ahead is best with the large-format scanning because you will need your own acetate.

Specialty Paper Plotting Procedure
The Whitaker Learning Lab has a process to facilitate studio based specialty paper plotting projects. Studios must have the need and use of a full plotting roll of material in order to do this.

TV Monitors on Movable Carts
Up to seven presentation monitors (screen resolution 1080 x 720 pixels) on movable carts are available from Sam Fox IT in the Whitaker Learning Lab.

Virtual Computer Labs
Virtual computer labs are intended to help replace some of the computing needs for our students, faculty and staff. We have two options to consider.
