All students at the Sam Fox School are provided with Adobe CC each year for $56.50. All students receive emails at start of the year with information about logging in. If you have not please go to this link for FAQ's about the program, dates, and how to ask for help.

The Sam Fox School has many space types that require us to have multiple Audio Visual (AV) models. Spaces will be configured with the following models and instructions on the following page.

Sam Fox School IT only supports AV and Printing. However, we work with WashU IT and Student Technology Services to help in all situations.

Students, faculty, and staff are provided with a Box storage account for saving and backing up files.

The WashU Campus store carries all recommended Mac and PC computers for art and architecture students.

Students, faculty and staff can log in to Canvas learning management system to access course content.

Faculty have various options for Canvas support and questions.

CDES Students enrolled in the Type 1 class will need to download and install the Universal Type Client 7.

The Center for Teaching and Learning provides educational technology resources for WashU faculty.

Students, faculty and staff are provided with a Microsoft Office 365 account that includes email and much more.

Depending on your needs, various areas at the school/university have digital equipment available. These include screens, cameras, tripods, lights, projects, and various other tools.

We have five light pads available for three day checkouts to students enrolled in illustration courses.

Generally, most technology tools and services are available globally. There are, however, some nations that block traffic to and from specific services. This link provides a list.

Multifunction printers are located on all building floors next to studio areas. They are either Canon or Xerox printer that can print in color and black and white on letter and tabloid size.

This list includes studio area Xerox or Canon printers and Whitaker Learning Lab plotters/printers. Pricing is listed on signs above each plotters/printers.

How to buy Rhino and how to access Rhino remotely via VPN. Follow these instructions depending on your operating system. VPN (Virtual Private Network) allows a secure method to connect remotely to University resources. You can also now use our Virtual Computer Labs to access Windows based application remotely.

Scanning it located in the Whitaker Learning Lab and includes various sizes and cost. Planning ahead is best with the large-format scanning because you will need your own acetate.

All lab computers are loaded with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD (Windows only), Rhino (Windows only), and a variety of plugins for AutoCAD and Rhino as specified by faculty.

The Whitaker Learning Lab has a process to facilitate studio based specialty paper plotting projects. Studios must have the need and use of a full plotting roll of material in order to do this.

Figma is a web and desktop based collaboration tool where member can design and comment in real time.
